When former North Carolina Central University student-athlete Trei Oliver was introduced as the Eagles' new head football coach on Dec. 13, 2018, he said one of his priorities was to bring NCCU football alumni back to campus and open the doors to the football program. On Saturday (April 13), just four months after his hiring, Oliver welcomed 115 former players for the inaugural NCCU Football Lettermen's Appreciation Day.
