Well, gave up a double. Bottom of the 9th, two outs, man on second. Astros up 6-5.
Lidge is now out and Miller is coming in to hopefully mop up.

Hey, I hope the Astros hold on. As a Dodger fan, I want anybody playing the Giants to win.

Brad Lidge, what a head case and a wack job.

Bob Uecker is going absolutely nuts on the Brewers radio broadcast about this game. Walk puts men on first and second and the Astros are going to the pin again.

Chad Qualls is coming in now. Anybody know if Chad Qualls is related to former Chicago Cubs OF Jim Qualls? Jim Qualls played for the 1969 Cubs and is best known for breaking up Tom Seaver's perfect game in the ninth inning that season.

Astros finally hold on after Qualls went to a 3-2 count and survived a line drive that went just foul.

When are the Astros going to cut loose of Lidge? He needs a fresh start, with a new pitching coach. He needs to get together with Dave Duncan at St. Louis or Jim Colburn at Pittsburgh, someone who could turn him around.

Glad to see the Astros playing such great baseball right now...
These games that they are winning this year are nothing like the years before when you'd of thrown in the towel much earlier...

How was Biggio's grand slam not in the ESPN Top Ten? Instead they put hockey (who cares) and A-Rod in. The Yankees LOST the freaking game, who cares about the two home runs?xnonox

They have to promote their Sunday night game somehow. All ESPN every does is pumps up the Yankees and the Red Sox. Nearly everyone of their games are shown on ESPN. How about focusing on some of the other great rivalries in MLB. They didn't show any Dodger-Giant games two weeks ago and they don't make a big deal of the Cardinals and Cubs, two rivalries that are FAR older than the Yankees and Red Sox. It's only been in the past few years that the Yankees and Red Sox have played compelling games at all. A lot of it is overblown by the media. You take out a handful of years (1975, 1978 and then the past few years) and these Yankee-Red Sox games haven't really matter that much. Most of the time when one team had a good team, the other team hasn't. Some people forget that in the 1970s, the Yankees had a far more heated rivalry with the Kansas City Royals than the Red Sox. And people forget that from about 1949 through 1966 that the Red Sox were absolute dregs that the Yankees never gave a second thought about. I'll take a good Dodgers-Giants game over this overhyped rivalry any day.
