In the end, Pacman Jones' actions will speak louder than any of his words, but in a full-page advertisement he purchased in today's editions of The Tennessean, the controversial Titans cornerback is using words to take the first public step toward rebuilding his image.
In a letter addressed to family, coaches, teammates and fans, Jones expresses regret and vows to do better after his season-long NFL suspension.

He could start by putting his money where his mouth is. And I don't mean by buying I'm sorry ads, there are many worthwhile causes in every community, in need of money, and volunteer work. Quietly going about some of those kind of projects will speak a thousand times louder than a full page ad.xnodx

Lets do some math here. He's a guy with a whole season to sit on his butt, and he has money. What happens when somebody has money, a LOT of spare time, and has a criminal history? I won't get specific, but you can probably see that the result is not good.xoopsx

Americans love a "reformed sinner." If he cleans up and becomes a model NFL'er, then the sky's the limit for Pacman.
I'm skeptical of that happening though.

Pacman is going to have to follow the lead Iverson gave years ago.
He either gotta tell his boy's to CUT OUT THE BULLSHAT or be CUT LOOSE.
When Iverson told his boy's that used to raise he!! in the street's and basketball arena's that, you ain't heard a peep out of them since.
These mofo's are gonna cost Pacman what little carear he has left.
Even when the police and people at the scene say he was not part of the crime, it's still gonna cost him with the NFL.
He bout to go through more shat because of these fool's he was parting with before he left and the trouble started.
Packman better grow up fast and cut these fools loose.
They don't GAF about his NFL carear.

I agree. xthumbsupx He really needs to ditch his crew before he winds up being the one getting shot. He's walking around with a bullseye on his back and he still out there wilding out. Looks like the NFL did the right thing. I hope he does the right thing and gets his life together.

Jones agreed last week not to appeal the suspension. The 23-year-old player could be reinstated after 10 games for good behavior if he adheres to conditions set by Goodell and is not arrested again. Missing the entire season would cost him his salary of nearly $1.3 million.
Looks like it will be the full 16 if he doesn't get his act together.

The Las Vegas allegations were the 10th time Jones had been questioned by police, which also included an incident in April 2006 when police identified him from surveillance video diving for cover after shots were fired at a Nashville gas station. Jones has been arrested five times. Two arrests he did not report to either the Titans or the NFL, leading NFL commissioner Roger Goodell to suspend Jones in April for one season. But Jones has not been convicted of any crimes since being drafted in 2005.

Did you honestly think that he would stay away from the strip club on "Birthday Bash" weekend in the ATL? Everybody who is "somebody" was in the ATL this weekend!xnodx Strip clubs everywhere were packed. Me and a few of my friend went into a popular Atlanta strip joint Saturday night and their were at NFL players, NBA, and a few rappers there while I was there. Its all about "flossin', its not about the strippers. I seriously doubt that Jones would overlook a chance to "floss" in his own town.

O, I'm not saying that he is right, please dont assume that. I'm saying that you can predict where he is going to land next! His problem is that he has gotten too involved in the streets. Rumors are that he was once a Blood in Atlanta, but this guy is too involved in the streets. He surrounds himself with the people that he does because he knows that their are people out to get him, exspecially now!xnodx Pacman doesnt care about the NFL, he cares about himself and his boys. He won't cut ties with his friends because of "loyalty" and he wont rat them out to the police because then, he would be a marked man. This issue is a lot deeper than a guy just making bad moves!xnodx

I still say if he's that deep in the game, he don't need to be playing football. You think if folks looking for him with heat that they can't catch him where he lays his head? If he wants to be that kind of dude then he should just leave the NFL alone. I know plenty of folks that thought they boys would ride for them, but when them people come they scatter like roaches.

If he chooses that road there isn't anything anybody can do for him. I wish him the best cause we don't need another black man dead or in jail because of the streets.
