Succeeding in the classroom in addition to on the gridiron, 16 Harvard football players were selected to the National Football Foundation (NFF) Hampshire Honor Society. 424 colleges and universities had a player honored, but Harvard was the only Division I school to have 16 or more selections, and one of two schools at any level, joining Division III member Saint John’s (MN).
