I know Title IX is a hotly debated issue, but I just wanted to see what sport(s) your school(s) are adding due to these issues.
I know SFA is adding equestrian and I believe other SLC schools are looking at another sport for 2006. So, any other universities adding sports to help with gender equity or have added some in the last few years?
Is bowling really going to hit the big-time in the NCAA Division Is?

South Dakota State has added equestrian as well. Title 9 has two South Dakota schools heading in different directions. We added equestrian, while our old rivals to the south, USD, has dropped baseball and is cutting mens scholarships in other sports.

I'd like to see Coastal add rifle. Also biking although I think only USC and Clemson have biking teams in SC. BTW, USC just won the Eqestrian NC.

Have any of these conferences picked up equestrian or is it just a free for all for a few more years before more universities are forced to pick it up due to Title IX?

It's not an NCAA sanctioned sport right now. According to the NCAA site, it is an emerging sport with 13 D-I schools participating. It is sanctioned and officiated by The United States Equestrian Federation, Inc.
