COLLEGE PARK, Md. -*It was a solid start for the No. 8 University of Pennsylvania women's lacrosse team Wednesday evening, with two goals scored and only one allowed in the first 10 minutes of play, but an 8-0 run from the second-ranked Maryland Terrapins midway through the first half was too much for the Quakers to recover from, as Penn dropped its first game of the season, 14-9. The Red and Blue now sit 6-1 overall and 1-0 in Ivy League.
