On the strength of a combined 4-of-7 day at the plate with five RBI from Bella Peterson and the strong opening game start in the circle from Gabbi Schnaiter, the Sycamores were able to earn a split with visiting IUPUI as Indiana State opened the home portion of their schedule. ISU took Game No. 1 by the score of 9-2 but fell 6-3 in the nightcap. The two games were held in front of 245 fans at Price Field.
