From the Bozeman Daily Chronicle

"Classified staff contributing to Bobcat football acclaim

"With the start of spring practice last week, we would like to express our most sincere appreciation to all of our university full- and part-time classified staff, who bring style and class to Montana State University. Specifically, our janitors, administrative support staff, facility staff and grounds crew provide the opportunity for us to make consistent strides toward national acclaim.
We greatly acknowledge their dedication and pride in a job done well. Every day, we have been able to count on their professionalism and the highest standards of performance.
Hopefully this note of public appreciation resonates to these fine individuals, their families and co-workers, and highlights the excellence of service being provided to our football program and athletic department at Montana State University. We are extraordinarily thankful for their major part in our team’s success."

Michael Kramer
Bobcat head football coach

Kramer is a class act, whether you like him or not. This is tangible evidence of that.

Kramer is a good guy and I have a lot of respect for him. Reminds me of Phil Hanson from NDSU who played in the NFL for 11 seasons.

Here is a good link to him:

Quote: During his last season with the Bills in 2001, Hansen never let anyone know that that season would be his last. At the time of his retirement speech, Hansen stated that he didn't want to be a distraction to his teammates, this being his reason for waiting till the season was over until calling it quits. He went on to thank the assistant trainers, ball boys, parking attendants and maintenance people. These are people that aren't even listed in the Bills media guide but Phil Hansen knew them all by their first names.

Much respect for Mike, a no nonsense guy, a motivator, and a great role model. Good luck Cats in 2007, and good luck keeping Coach Kramer in Bozeman.

I agree, FTG! This Griz fan likes, and respects "The Big Human" a whole bunch!

Best of luck to the Bob Cats, up until a particular game in November!;)
