KALAMAZOO, Mich. -- Visiting North Dakota took a very early lead and poured it on at ninth-ranked Western Michigan, winning 5-1 Friday evening in National Collegiate Hockey Conference play. Mark Senden scored just 18 seconds into the game and UND scored twice more in the first period to dominate the game.
