Almost every success story in college athletics—in life—requires a gifted player to find himself in a situation to take advantage of his talents. Few are so transcendent as a singular talent that they can alter a program's fortunes by themselves—they need a system that fits them perfectly, a coach who believes in them and support from myriad figures on campus and off to help them achieve their goals. Conversely, every tale of tribulation will have many of the opposite themes—schematic misfits, personalities clashing, bad luck, wrong place, wrong time, best of intentions and worst of executions. When that happens, it's important to set the record straight. And so we come to Jabari McGhee.
