In week 1, the Eagles get to whip Green Bay and Brett Farve for the 17th consecutive year, or at least it seems that long.

not gonna happen, is your fragile QB even gonna be ready to play?
Fact: Packers 3 Super Bowl Championships, 12 Total NFL Championships last one in 1996
Fact: Eagles 0 Super Bowl Championships,3 NFL Championships last one in 1960.
let me know when you guys catch up.

Who the heck is talking about Super Bowls? Not me. I'm commenting on the suckiness of the current Green Bay team. The Eagles have beaten them like 4 or 5 times straight, and it's going to happen again if Brett Favre is still their QB.

Only since our coach left for the west coast in 1999, and we still haven't filled the position!

we went from 4-12 to 8-8 that is a solid turn around. But if you want to pretend that my team winning 12 titles to only 3 by your team is unimportant then go ahead. Players play for 3 reasons CHAMPIONSHIPS, money, love of the game.

Christ almighty, your full of yourself. "We?" Didn't know you were with the organizaiton.
Keep living in the past, I'm talking about this upcomming season. Should I bring up Super Bowl records, then we'll talk.
Considering their most recent Super Bowl victory was over 10 years ago, then I'd say it's pretty darn unimportant. That "Green Bay Super Bowl XXI Champs" pennant won't get you a win this season, so lets focus on the relevant, namely Brett Favre sucks and he's holding the franchise hostage! xlolx xlolx
Even Yankees fans don't focus on the 26 World Series wins. They want to win again at the start of every season. As large a number of a-hole fans as they have, you gotta respect that!

I am a diehard Packer fan, and you sir are correct! I am proud of "Da Glory Yers" and Vincexbowx . also proud of Holmgren, Favre, and Reggie, but we sucked inbetween Vince and Mike H, and we are sucking now. 8-8 last year was a gift, this team was worse than 2005. They just had more luck!

That's my point. I'm talking about the upcomming season, and fresno guy here starts bringing up Super Bowls like a UAW negotiator crying to a Ford executive about the "Strike of '41" or something. xconfusedx xconfusedx
Could be worse though. You could be a Browns fan. They're still waiting for a real football team since Model and Co. left for Baltimore in '97.

We, yes I am a part of the franchise and so is my uncle Green Bay doesn't have a real owner they are ownd by the people of Green Bay, for $25 you can or could buy a share of the team and they mail you a sertificate and all that jazz.
Farve though old is still much better that Aaron Rodgers. And it was super bowl XXXI not XXI. Of course the past doesn't matter to teams that can't win it all. I plan on the Packers beating you guys to open the season. Bison95 is wrong about 2005 to 2006. no luck involved. WE are rebuilding.

My only hope for this season is the pack can make the playoffs(only reason they would is because they sucked less than the rest of the suck ass nfc) so these young guys can get a playoff loss under their belt. I think the core has some potential on this team, but they are just too young.

Thats why they play the games. You must know nothing about the NFL if you think the Packers have no chance of winning at home against the Eagles. With or without mcnabb. Did you call the Saints making it to the NFC championship before the season, doubt it.

The fact that you even resorted to playing the "past" card tells me that, deep down, you don't like the Pack's chances. It'll probably take a bit of hypno-therapy to get you to see it, but I don't think it's anything to keep you from living a full and productive life.

As long as Farve is QB'ing the Packers, I'll take the Eagles. 19 times out of 20, they'll win. You might get that 5% this year, but I'm taking the odds.

I think the pack have achance vs the eagles, ags (s for sunday). Right now I don't think they are a better team, and the eagles have the decided advantage in coaching. Things will change between now and opening week, but now advantage eagles. (just being honest with myself, makes losing less dissapointing)

Actually, I was ripping Favre. He and Rex Grossman share the same QB philosophy: "F#$k it! I'm throwing deep!"
The longer Brett Favre plays, the better he was.

Now don't knock Favre, but you can knock our coaching staff for not having the ability to draw up a game plan to maximize this offense, thus forcing Favre to improvise!

Somebody thinks that? Reid is vastly overrated as a coach. He wins with superior talent. When the talent is fairly even, he'll get outcoached, as you saw against New Orleans in the playoffs last yer.

AWESOME!!!
4 prime-time games for the Saints this year!
Week 1 against the Colts on Thursday night to open the season
Week 3 in the home opener on Monday Night Football against Vince Young and the Titans. This should be an entertaining match-up. I wonder how many people in Houston are going to watch to see 2 players that they missed out on.
A Sunday night match-up in Seattle
Another Monday night game, this time at Atlanta with the Falcons wanting revenge for last year's Monday night embarrassment.
Also, there is potential for a few "flex-game" appearances in playing Philadelphia and @ Chicago in the final 2 weeks of the season.

No, New England is gonna always be good as long as Tom Brady and Bill Belicheck are there.
One team whose schedule is impossible is Green Bay, did you see it, it's obsurd, Philly, San Diego, and that right there is enough to make me go crazy. xbawlingx
