Honestly, I have no clue about his coaching acumen other than the fact that he was on the staff that helped turn Indiana St. around and the fact that he's an all-timer when it comes to being a Bison. With that, I am 100% on-board with this move!

Indiana State had a couple of really solid LBs this year that he coached: Jonas Griffith (1st Team All-MVFC) and Katrell Moss (2nd Team All-MVFC)
Plus he's already very well acquainted with the tradition of "work ethic" (or whatever you want to call it) that is a big part of why NDSU has been and will likely continue to be successful.
Looks like a really good hire to me (for Bison fans...Sycamore fans probably would have liked to keep him).
EDIT - not Olson-related, but NDSU staff-related. Sounds like former WIU and (most recently) Rutgers O-Line coach AJ Blazek will also be joining NDSU's staff. Blazek and Entz were on the same staff together in '09 at DII Winona State and in '13 at WIU.

And in North Dakota...
At the moment
But realistically neither of their career paths are conducive to being entrenched in any particular community

If they are saving properly they already are basically set very well for life.
Obviously they need to continue, but they already are better off than most Americans.

Congrats to Grant & Amy coming back to Fargo! I could see him as DC within 4 years and as a HC Candidate for the Bison within a decade.
