1 interception and you consider him rattled, you must have considered your QB to be ready to check himself into a mental institute based on that.

I'm not a EWU fan lol. Just a football fan. Refs are calling both ways. have they missed some calls sure but that's every game. EWU has been driving the ball on NDSU all game. Had a lot of big plays called back on them where they could have had scoring drives and a much closer game. That is all I was getting at. The fact that "A" bison fan feels to call out that I'm watching some other game looks poorly on Bison nation to be. I don't mind calling out dickheads

Not sure I agree. There are some key pieces to replace (like McPherson), but many of the Seniors you referenced had already been lost for the year a while back. We got some young guys a lot of valuable experience in the playoff run, and recruiting has been immense thr past couple years. I think we’ll at a minimum be back to the playoffs next year. Why wouldn’t we be, given the last decade?

EB was good but you could tell he was a bit over matched. He will be another great QB for EW going forward and this game will only add to his knowledge and hunger.
I was really impressed with your LB Ojoh, guy was fast and physical a lot like our Jabril Cox. He's only a sophomore too so no doubt EW will be back and better in the future.
Kudos to both coaches and programs for doing the right thing by holding certain players accountable for their actions and not allowing them to play in this game.

A little, yes. While he's likely exceeded expectations filling in for Gage, he's still been a skittish decision maker passing the ball, which you saw today. Had Talkington not come in and thrown that second pick in the 3rd, I think it would've come down to the last play.

Total offense-NDSU 488, EWU 357.
TOP- NDSU 40:05, EWU 19:55.
Bison 10 minute plus 4th qtr drive nets 0 points.
I though NDSU played ultra conservative with a two score lead.
Give EWU credit, they were in it until the end. No quit in the Eagles today!

Great game and congrats to NDSU. I wish the chips had fallen a little differently for us this year. Early on this season with a healthy Gubrud and healthy defense I really thought this would be our year. But to make it back to the chipper facing the kind of adversity this team faced on the way is really an accomplishment in itself.
Congrats again to the Bison. We’ll be back!
Ewu overcame a lot in this game. Most teams would've gotten stomped with the penalties and turnovers but somehow stayed in it.

1) Congrats to both NDSU and EWU, both of you made the FCS proud.
2) ESPN and NCAA, you both need to be ashamed of yourselves for disrespecting these teams so bad with horrible game promotion, coverage, and then using the game to do nothing but promote and push the FBS championship game.

Congratulations to Eastern Washington on a great season and having the never die attitude today. Numerous times they could have rolled over but kept fighting until the end.
We were on the field afterwards and we got to shake hands with EWU QB EB. Very nice young man. I said that he had a great season and good luck in the future. He just said thank you.
We, NDSU fans, are truly a blessed fan base to be part of the greatest college football dynasty in the history of the NCAA at any level.
I got to take the entire family to the game. We got to make some great memories, pictures with NDSU players, play catch on the field, confetti angles and we even got the game worn gloves from NDSU Junior defensive tackle Jack Darnell. He will be a favorite of our house for a long time.
I have now had the pleasure to see 7 titles in person, my oldest has now seen 3, my middle son and wife 2 and my little man has now seen his 1st title.
Even if the rund end today and the Bison never win another title again this has truly been an incredible ride. I think there are more to come however:D

Congrats, Bizon. I figured we could hang but was surprised we were able to given all the mistakes.
Two biggest plays of the game were the Talkington fumble and the blown coverage on Shep.
QB play was also a difference maker as expected. Talent is there for Barriere and I expect him to be like Stick as he progresses.

1) When was the whistle blown?

3) Ojoh's head is down and he's holding on for dear life, gator wrestling a 6'4" 230 lb beast. Refer back to #'s 1 and 2 with this.

It may have been a cheap play and if it was, knowing Best and LB's coach Josh Fetter it will be reviewed and dealt with. But I saw a far worse incident in the Davis game and I can guarantee you Bizon players have been guilty of worse. It happens all the time and I'd be surprised if it didn't happen elsewhere in this game.

There is video in the tweet. If he knew the ball was out he certainly knew that Stick was down so you can't claim he knew the ball was out and he was trying to "wrestle down a beast". It was a cheap move and I'd say the same thing if I saw video of an NDSU player doing that. If you guarantee that NDSU players do worse show me a video and I'll back up that admission. What burns me the most about this was that this is on a guy who is slated to play in the Shrine Bowl later this month, compete at the NFL Combine next month, and potentially set himself up financially for life if he does well and a bull**** move like this could've easily robbed him of that opportunity.

If his head is down and he hears a teammate yell “ball out” and hasn’t heard a whistle he keeps going.
If the ball may be out the best thing he can do is continue with Stick keeping him away from the ball. That literally happened in one of Eastern’s playoff games on a blocked kick.
I’m not gonna go digging for you. To think NDSU’s **** doesn’t stink is laughable. As mentioned, it happened egregiously in the Davis game to us but unless the player was injured, it’s called, or brought up by our coaches I’m going to chalk it up to football and let it go.
I get why you’re steamed. If it was proven to be dirty, it’s wrong, doesn’t represent who EWU is, and will be addressed.

I'm not saying NDSU's **** doesn't stink I said if I saw an NDSU player doing that to an opponent I would call it what it is and that's a bush league cheap shot. I don't care if the whistle hasn't blown that's a move that's intended to injure a guy that is already on the ground. That's not football it's pro wrestling. And it's a bull**** excuse to say he was trying to keep Stick away from a loose ball. If the ball was loose maybe go cover it instead of gator rolling while clutching a downed players' lower leg??? I also don't agree that it should be forgotten because it didn't cause an injury. It easily could've and would've tainted a good competitive game and put Stick's NFL shot in jeopardy and if he does it again in the future that may happen to somebody else.
EDIT: And if you'll notice after he got up Ojoh was not one of about 6 EWU defenders pointing in their direction as if it was a fumble. In fact he seems oblivious to his pointing teammates. Sure looks to me like he had no idea the ball was jarred loose (after Stick's knee had already hit the turf of course).

That is beyond inexcusable. As PC said, if one of NDSU players did that, I'd hope they were off the team as well. That's how you tear a ligament/break ankle real quick. If he wanted to keep him away from the ball, he would have tried to climb on top of him, not keep rolling the way he did.

I don't think that should dictate that a player is kicked off the team. I'd hope if a coach sees something like that he has a talk with the player and unless the player has a real good excuse you give him some extra "conditioning reps" after practice and if it becomes a trend you park his ass on the bench.
Stuff like that will be retaliated in kind at some point if it becomes a Suh-like trend.

Thanks for posting the full speed clip. What I don't like is Ojoh talking trash after the play while Stick is on the ground. It's still a bit inconclusive due to the different angle from the slo mo capture but I can see why you have a problem with it. Again, I saw the same thing done to one of our WR's in the Davis game too. If it gets caught and is a penalty, you potentially hurt your team whether it's a conference game where the conference office can review it later and suspend you or just the shear yards of penalty in the Chipper. If that's the case, it will get addressed by the coaching staff and it won't be a fun conversation for him. I just hesitate to cast judgement quickly without considering all of the circumstances including the speed of the game and when the whistle blows. I'm sorry you think that's a bull**** excuse. I call it reality.
It's sort of like off-field troubles and why I don't hammer other teams for them. I've been around the game long enough to recognize that no single team is above these type of behaviors and they can happen to everyone...including EWU. Some are better than others and EWU is not known as a dirty team so like I said, if it's a legit concern it will be dealt with.
Keep in mind, I watched 60 minutes of football where PSU several times successfully chop blocked/went for the knees and knocked our leading pass rusher and a starting safety out of the game and in the case of the pass rusher, finished his career. Yet it in the end the two teams still met at midfield and hugged and neither coaching staff mentioned it. That suggests it's an unfortunate part of the game.

True.
Of course I thought the same thing about Hendricks hit on Christion. It's an opportunity for a coach to help a player get better - technique for Hendricks, sportsmanship for Ojoh. Just because it didn't get flagged doesn't mean it didn't happen and isn't an opportunity for improvement.

Saw that play as well and wondered about it.
1) When was the whistle blown?
2) The ball was loose.
3) Ojoh's head is down and he's holding on for dear life, gator wrestling a 6'4" 230 lb beast. Refer back to #'s 1 and 2 with this.
4) slow motion or still images can greatly skew the perception of what happened in real time. I watched this clip on FB this morning and will ask the same question, can we get a video in real time?
It may have been a cheap play and if it was, knowing Best and LB's coach Josh Fetter it will be reviewed and dealt with. But I saw a far worse incident in the Davis game and I can guarantee you Bizon players have been guilty of worse. It happens all the time and I'd be surprised if it didn't happen elsewhere in this game.
Reminder...it's football and you guys actually did win this game as well as 7 of the last 8 championships. Sometimes I think you forget.

What does winning 7 of 8 titles have to do with the validity of pointing out a cheap shot by an EWU defender? That seems like a poor attempt at deflecting the severity of the move. It’s not like Bison fans are wallowing around blaming refs for being wronged like some fans have been doing

I had a lot of respect for Ojoh. Then I saw this:

I didn't realize that was him on that play. Must have learned how to tackle the same place as Rosebum. Cheap and dirty!
You never ever alligator role with someone's leg unless you are trying to injure them. There is no use for that in football.

And then after he got done talking trash to #12, he starts talking trash to #64, and an ewu player separated them. The guy seems like a dick

Most likely.
Personally don't like QBs that slide though because they are pussies. Seems like they get hurt more than not.

Hahaha! I think that I can remember every horrible call against NDSU from the last 30 years. Take the 2010 EWU game - the completed bounce pass call was worse the bad fumble call. And the safety that the refs inexplicably marked at the five-yard line against Augutstana in 1989? Don't get me started.
Now, if they had called a 15-yarder on that first hit on Christion, I'd have had no problem with it, but upon rewatching a couple times, Taryn started to make a sharp cut and then changed it into a slide in the middle of it when our guy was already committed. But, yeah, if that had been Stick sliding and he got hit, I'd be putting on my rage face so I'm hardly neutral. :)
The stick that Jabril Cox put on Christion was awesome and legal though. And the Christion turned into a WR and sliding short of the first down? He barely got touched - and he wouldn't have got touched at all if he had just continued out of bounds which, at the time, made me wonder if he had a concussion or something from the Jabril hit.

agreed .. this was flat out intent to injure. Full speed doesnt 100% reveal that to be necessarily true like Kalm said initially. But slowing it down on this clip .. it is clear he very deliberately lifted his hips off the ground right after tackle, and then started to roll multiple times. Watch his hips CREATE new momentum into the rolls. That was a delilberate attempt to make it seem like his initial momentum that rolled him .. but it was not. Dude needs to be talked to very clearly about this .. it was deliberately dirty. Refs can't see that kind of stiff in real time ... so if coaches don't police their own teams, you don't get to complain when someone does it back to you. Not condoning revenge hits at all but "he did it first" justice becomes the norm. Players feel need to defend their teammates. It occurs in all sports.
Coaches MUST police this sh-t when refs dont catch it.

Thanks for your honesty regarding bias and this is kind of my point. Like I mentioned earlier, you can find this type of stuff in every game and if it's truly a bull**** move, it either gets flagged or a quality coaching staff will address it with the player. We saw a way worse example in the Davis game where it was a lift the leg up and twist the ankle deal that didn't get flagged either. But the player wasn't injured, we still won the game, and I didn't see nary a peep out of eagle fans regarding it.
I suppose pointing out a cheap shot is more legit than some of the attention whorishness constantly on display from fans of a team that has won 7 of 8 but it all adds up. Reasonable Bizon fans are aware of this too.
BTW, here was one of the shots from our local paper...

LOL oh yeah I guess that is what makes football seem so real. Coaching and reffing calls go down as either legendary or infamous.
Would it be the same sport if they let gps tracking and computer guided sensors determine all of the on-field calls?
