View Full Version : Yankees Starter Getting Drilled Again

Today New York will go 0-4 in terms of having a pitcher getting through the 5th.

Its funny a few days ago Yankee fans were discounting Matsuzaka's game against KC because well they were KC yet there not discounting there own staff for sucking it up against Tampa Bay and Baltimore.

This is absoloutly hillarious!

Not a surprise. They weren't expecting Igawa to be lights out every night. The Yanks are always terrible in April. They always turn it around during the season when it matters most. The main problem is that they aren't hitting for crap.

This Yankees fan knows Dice-K is for real and its frightening!

come trading deadline the Yanks will drop $50 million on a pitcher or two and roll into the playoffs...

(Money is the answer)

What was the question..? Does it matter what the question was..?

Meanwhile the much-maligned A-Rod comes through in the clutch in the biggest way. 2-out Grandslam in the Bottom of the Ninth to win today's game. Someone is having quite a start to the season. xnodx

who woulda thunk that A-Rod would be clutch? Though if he hit a 7-run homer in the 1st he wouldnt have needed a grand slam in the 9th :p

A-rod is the only Yankee I can root for.

Things are so bad for the Yankees they just brought in Pettite to pitch relief on his throwing day. LMAO

Which is funnier, a Yankees fan in Montana or the fact that my O's won the series and was one out from a sweep?

Sadly I have to agree with Cleets assessment of the Yanks situation. xbawlingx

This reminds me of that "Last Place Yankees" thread that was started here last year around the same time. :p

Nothing new here - the Yanks will start slowly, then play well during the summer, in all likliehood winning the AL East again (assuming that Boston's pitching staff goes through injuries again - otherwise Boston could surprise people and finally win the division) and then the Yanks won't have enough pitching come October to last and they'll be bumped in the playoffs. Same story since 2001, see no reason why it'll be any different this year.

Oh well.xlolx

This will be something else that the annoying NYY fans and expert's will blame on A-Rod. xlolx

Why don't they activate Ron Guidry? He probably still throws 90+.

DING! DING! DING!

The Yankees have good enough hitters and average pitching that they will beat up on the bad teams enough this year to win the division. They will split with the Sox and pull away in August when the bad teams give up.

Then they will get swept in the Divisional around. As a Yankees fan, I have gotten used to this.

Yeah, just imagine, there are 6 and 7 year olds out there that don't know what it's like for the Yankees to win a World Series. xnodx

HERE HERE!!! A-Rod hits another dinger! And for all of you who wonder, I was born in New York(syracuse) and all my family are yankees. (but yes that still doesn't explain, why i like the tarheels, bulls, and 49ers xchinscratchx)

It looks like the yankees will score a heck of a lot of runs and give up almost as many this season

you're half right. Growing up in Montana, you never have a designated team(except the griz or cats), so when I was younger I always liked Michael Jordan which led me to the tarheels. Even after the bulls started tanking i stuck with them. They may have been a frontrunner but now they are up and coming. Next, the 49ers, I liked Steve Young and J. Rice and it was between them and the dolphins i chose the 49ers, stuck with them even after Carmen Policy didn't. So yes they were frontrunners, but i stick with them through and through. I'll be driving the bandwagon once the bulls win the chipper' and the 49ers take the west:D

Peems,
Is there decent support for the Osprey?

Peems,
Is there decent support for the Osprey?

I live in Helena, home of the Brewers, but the Osprey seem to get decent support, when they do well. The Brewers not so much. That was the reason they left the first time, because no one came. I think the city is appreciating them a bit more now.
