Not sure how his stats compare to others but I know Jalen Choice has been having a good year for us at LB.

Aaron Parker - WR - Rhode Island

I almost put Parker. He is a heck of a player. Great WR group next year. I had room for one more WR since I had to put everyone who was on the STATS final list. It was either Parker or Ferguson. Both of whom are legit NFL possibilities.

Parker- 61 catches, 955 yards, 15.7ypc, 10 TD, 86.8ypg in 11 games.
Ferguson- 66 catches, 1117 yards, 16.9ypc, 13 TD, 101.5ypg in 11 games.

I went with Ferguson who finished very strong. He is a top 100 HS recruit who came from LSU. Big body who can run and has strong hands. Ferguson would be a mid round pick if not for off field issues and still could with a monster senior year and combine.

2nd team All-OVC, 73 TKL, 10.5 TFL. Good but not great. Can't quite put him on this list yet. He is certainly one of those to watch who I could see play his way on to it.

I think Parker missed 1.5 games

Dartmouth's Jack Traynor (LB) and Jackson Perry (DL) have an additional year of eligiblity through a medical redshirt. Both were first-team All-Ivy this past season. If the return (as they've said they would), both should be forces.

Hasn’t done enough to be on the list and the oline is a question mark but I’d be mildly surprised if Barriere isn’t included at some point.

This has always confused me as well because he graduated from high school in 2014 and went to a JC before getting to NAU in 2015 yet somehow 2015 was considered his true freshman year since he was only listed as a junior on their roster this year and took a redshirt in 2016 when he played 4 games before a season ending injury. I guess somehow his "clock" didn't start until 2015.

The interesting thing is he only played 4 games in 2016 and 2 games this year so I think if he or NAU wanted they could apply for a medical redshirt to potentially give him a 6th year in 2020. By then, as far as I can tell, that would be his 7th year in college.

Obligatory:

I almost put him and Sneed on there. He was on when I went through the Big Sky at first but then as I did the last couple leagues I found names that I would put ahead of him and wanted to keep the lists at just 25 at this point. Ideally I would like to go with 20 as I think STATS will only put 20 names.

Interesting to see Troy Andersen there. You may have to move him from the Payton to the Buchanan list next year xthumbsupx

I'm hoping Isaiah Ifanse (RB) will warrant being on the list next year.

Bryce Sterk (DE) is racking up some decent stats this year.

Overshadowed by Keelan Doss. Next year will have a monster season. Another BIG and FAST Davis receiver.

Swann named (as expected) Ivy Defensive Player of the Year.

DE John Daka from JMU. His stat line from this year:

47 tackles, 17 TFL (-84 yds), 10 sacks (-65 yds), 9 QBH, 2 FF, 1 safety

Even though he was only 3rd team All-CAA this year, consider that in 9 games as a sophomore he only had 4 tackles, 1 TFL, and 1 sack. Could very well play himself onto the Buchanan list next year (if our new coaches keep the 4-2-5 defense).

Barriere is going to be hard to stop for the next 3 years. Ugh.

Davis has a kid coming in that is going to do some damage once Maier graduates.....check him out: https://247sports.com/Article/Three-star-QB-Trent-Tompkins-rewriting-record-books-124049414/

If I read this correctly ? This is for next year?
Maybe I am wrong

Then definitely Furman’s Adrian Hope on the Buchanan list since he lead the COUNTRY in sacks This year. As a FRESHMAN. Playing only 10 games!! . As a backup. In a league with two triple option teams. At this pace he will break the all Time SOCON sack Mark in a career

No way he’s not on the Buchanan list imo. Led entire nation in sacks as a freshman !!!

I've got two homer picks for you.

EWU Linebacker (SO) Chris Ojoh has flat out dominated the second half of the season. He'll get a Buck at some point over two years.

And there's no list of Payton candidates complete unless it involves an EWU QB. So like Ojoh, I think Eric Barriere gets one at some point in the next two seasons.

I am at least a little surprised that none of the UIW or Nicholls' wide receivers aren't in the list. I know for UIW they spread their passing between 6 receivers and that makes it hard for a single standout, but still; they had a lot of passing yards. Similar situation with Nicholls. Should players that play for teams well known for spreading the ball around and lots of depth at certain positions not be considered?
