For the second time in the 12-year history of the Sgt. York Trophy, three teams shared the 2018 championship. After Tennessee State defeated UT Martin 31-28 in overtime on Saturday, each Austin Peay, Tennessee State and UT Martin finished 2-1 in this year's competition. After tiebreaker rules (which state the previous winner will retain the trophy if they are part of the tie) Austin Peay will keep the traveling trophy for the second-straight year.*
