Jaison Williams entered the 2018 season with much fanfare.STATS FCS named him to the Buck Buchanan Award watch list in the preseason – the award given annually to the best defensive player at the FCS level. He earned preseason FCS All-America recognition from every noteworthy publication, as well as All-Ohio Valley Conference preseason honors. His teammates voted him a team captain for the season.
