CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Samford football team built a 21-0 second-quarter lead, but The Citadel staged a huge second-half comeback, as Samford fell by a score of 42-27 Saturday afternoon at Johnson Hagood Stadium. With the loss, Samford falls to 5-5 overall and 4-3 in Southern Conference play. The Citadel improves to 4-5 overall and 4-4 in league play.
