NEW YORK—Columbia University Campbell Family Director of Intercollegiate Athletics & Physical Education Peter Pilling announced Friday afternoon that Associate Athletics Director Erich Ely will transition into a new role as Director of Athletics Development. In his new role, Ely's responsibilities will focus on overseeing the University's athletic development staff and its resources. He will begin his new duties on October 29.
