On paper this looks like a blowout but USD is fighting for their very slim playoff hopes. NDSU gets everyone's best shot and this game will be no different.

Will USD come out and try to get an early lead with the passing game?
Will USD stack the box and make ES beat them with the pass?

Can the Bison chew up clock with the running game? Last 2 meetings between these teams, the Bison have run for over 700 yards.
Will NDSU use ES in the running game like against Ill State?

IMO, USD will come out with a lot of energy and try to establish an early lead and make the Bison play catch up. But the depth and better talent of the Bison will wear down USD and this game will be a 38-13 game.

Ill State was big on both sides of the ball last week. Physical team just like NDSU and a team I like to watch.

As for USD, they are not a physical team from what I have watched. Simmons is going to sling it around the field today in hopes of outscoring the Bison. If NDSU can get pressure with just 4 then this game will be a rout IMO. Run the ball right at USD and stay with that. Throw in the play action and get out of there with a win.

Here's the results of a pet project I've been working on to compare team stats in a matchup (yeah, I know I'm a nerd) better than the NCAA's rigid non-interactive site does it. In parenthesis is the national rank amongst the 124 FCS teams that each team is at:

BFNWMN points out one of the two biggest problems...the other being where to go? Not far behind that and also on the list of issues is being hamstrung by the dome and seating capacity being limited to what it is. But watching scrimmages or what amounts to glorified scrimmages is ho hum and I know fans of other teams will read this as being cocky and it's not meant to be. But when the 7th ranked team or whats supposed to be the 7th ranked team is smoked like they were last week it does make you wonder.

Honestly anyone else reading this do you honestly think Kennesaw State or UC Davis is going to give NDSU a game? I know AGS anything is possible but I don't see it.

That was my other thought. Might not get an NDSU guy unless you have Dunn running along the sideline and he sticks his foot out and trips him. He's more likely to smack a Penguin because they'll be within easy reach.

Last time Bo was in Fargo he was on his best behavior. I believe his son was also being recruited by NDSU at the time, so that may have been a leveling factor.
