Coach Spoo was a class act and a credit to the game of college football. He more than did his part to help continue our great rivalry game with ISUr ... they always played us tough .. and it didn't matter in years when we were 2-3 TDs better ... his teams always got up for us. Spack thought the world of him having coached for him in his early days. I didn't realize they were both Purdue football players and graduates ... but 25 years apart. The rivalry game misses him for sure .. not quite the same since he left.
