If there were only one way to define the Nicholls State University football team, just one word would be needed – Louisiana. Head coach Tim Rebowe is from Louisiana and has coached his whole career at in-state programs, all of the assistant coaches have ties to the state, and over 92 percent of the roster went to high school in the Pelican State. But scroll down the numerical roster, and it won't take long to find the lone Texas native – No. 13 Mason Roberts, a fifth-year senior wide receiver from Cypress. Unfortunately, Roberts won't be that easy to spot on the field during gameday.
