Texas State - San Marcos fans seem to be doubting their squad (or so it appeared in a post that has since been deleted)...

If Cats do better than 2-2 in OOC play, they have something good going. I see them having a 1-3 start. Winning at SDSU will be tough and I think winning at home against Cal Poly in week one will be a tough hurdle too...

It figures that you would group ALL Texas State fans together, so for that, I am not at all surprised...

Just my two cents...There are plenty of changes (HC, a few folks leaving the team) but almost all the young guys that were pretty good last year are back for another run at it (and, not to mention, a year older). Offense should be pretty good (depending on what we decide to do--power or spread). We're not claiming a SLC title in 2007 like you sh-huntsville folks are (not to mention developing a small cult that claims you're going to score 60 on people), but I don't think we're going to be too horrible.xnonox

i think we could be anywhere from 5-6 to 8-3. pretty tough OOC though.

i like the schedule. two great OOC games. SDSU will be tough and they werent kind to the SLC last year. cal poly is one my my favorite teams to watch nand im glad they are back in san marcos. if we can get things flowing in the right direction early i think we could take baylor. most of their team graduated including their playmakers on offense.

Not sure you want to automatically ink in a "W" against Abilene?

ACU went 8-3 last year...

Two of those losses to ranked teams, the third to Tarleton State, former stomping ground of SHSU's head coach...

Just asking, same thing could have been said a year ago about automatic "W"s on UNI and MSU schedules with D-II teams. The loss at home to UNC makes anything possible down there.

Anything is possible of course but I would place my wager on the Cats. xnodx
