It's about time. Theismann is a self-aggrandizing 'know-it-all'. Jaworski is an excellent analyst except he is somewhat biased towards the Eagles. Great move.xnodx http://www.philly.com/philly/hp/sports/6707007.html

Really good move getting rid of Theismann. He made Sunday Night Football unwatchable and was working the same magic on Monday. :pumpuke:
Jaws is okay I guess, will be interested to see how he does. xthumbsupx

It's a good move.
Theisman is one of the most annoying commentators to listen to.
He rates up there with Tim McCarver and Joe Buck.

No if only Tony Kornheiser would contract a case of severe amoebic dysentery and become so dehydrated, EPSN is forced to replace him with Dick Vermeil. Then we'd have a decent MNF crew!

I wish they would've moved the Sunday night crew they had to Monday Night: Dan Patrick, Theismann, Paul McGuire.
McGuire revelled in the idea that he kept Theismann in check.

Vermeil would start crying during the National Anthem and be useless the whole first halfxlolx Seems like a really good guy though.

BUH-BYE Joe. Maybe now he'll go back to his real last name which is pronounced Theese-man. What an arrogant xazzx-hole, changes his name pronunciation to rhyme with Heisman. Weak Joe, real weak.

If Jaws were working with Vermeil, then I'd be confident that the crew would work. However, I don't think anybody can trully work with that douche-bag troll Kornheiser. The guy is just annoying, with a voice that's all wrong for broadcasting football.
To be fair, I don't have a voice for the job either, so I think I can smell my own kind!

One of Theesman's lines during a Baltimore game a few years back was along the lines of "Ray Lewis is the best linebacker in the league because he always knows where he's supposed to be on the field."
I like Kornheiser and he has a good relationship with Jaws, so it'll work out fine.

I wish they would've moved the Sunday night crew they had to Monday Night: Dan Patrick, Theismann, Paul McGuire.

Big App it is Mike Patrick, not Sports Center's Dan Patrick. And anyone from the SoCon should know the name is Paul Maguire. I thought those three did a great job on Sunday night. Tony Kornheiser seriously needs to go back to writing and should retire from ALL radio and TV engagements. He is absolutely terrible.
FCS fans might like to know that Daniel Jeremiah, the former App State QB, served as Theismann's assistant for Sunday night broadcasts for awhile after graduating with a communications degree.

McGuire was terrible. There's a reason he's doing color analysis for MAC games now. I think this is a good move. Jaws>Theismann.

I did not like Thiesmann as a commentator and I don't think I will like Jaws much, either. Jaws knows his stuff and can break down video, but watching him on that stupid "Edge Matchup" show annoys the urine out of me. Of course, I am a Panthers fan and he ragged all over them when they played the Iggles a few years ago in the NFC Championship, so that could have something to do with it.

Jaws is great - his analysis on the NFL Matchup is always entertaining. He just knows what he's talking about. For the 1 or 2 times he has to do an Eagles game I'm sure he'll be just fine.

Folks, if you are going to criticize the guy, at least get his name right. It's Paul Maguire. And his school is The Citadel. If he was so bad, why did he Patrick and Theismann do Sunday night games so well for so long?

I also like Kornheiser on PTI, I just wish he would stay with that and away from MNF. All he ever does is complain about being tired and wanting to go home and go to bed. On the subject of thiesman on Sunday nights, he wasnt any good their either.

Anybody can throw an incomplete pass, but if you can deliver when the opportunity is there, you're going to be a success.
You learn to be part of a team or a squad. You learn to depend on one another. Isn't it great when you're a young halfback and a defensive linemen knocks you down, that he also helps you up?
My family had not been professional sports people. They worked hard and sacrificed so much for me.
I was given a chance to do some broadcasting. I've never been satisfied with just being a participant. I want to be the best.
At the University of Notre Dame, I majored in sociology and business, but I never really thought how those subjects would lead to any kind of gainful occupation.
You're the only person who can decide whether you can or should do something.
I think we should have more than 45 dressed for games. They should dress 50. The physical demands of the game over a season requires five more players.
I worked hard. I worked late. I went in early. I did everything I could to gain an advantage.
You never know when opportunities are going to come. It could be blocking a kick, it could be recovering a fumble.
Rugby is great. The players don't wear helmets or padding; they just beat the living daylights out of each other and then go for a beer. I love that.
This is a game, first and foremost. There was only one Vince Lombardi, and he died.
I could not go to football practice until my homework was done. It taught me priorities.
At the age of 12, between the coaches and my prompting, my mother finally relented and let me participate in Pop Warner football.
The first recollection I have of a major sporting occasion was going with my father to see the New York Giants. I was 12.
No matter how great you are, the next great one is already sitting there waiting to take your place.
I had a tough time when I was successful. I started to live my life based upon the image people had of me. It was all wrong, my head got turned. What brought me back to reality was breaking my leg.
I firmly believe that whatever fields of endeavor you might choose to enter, the lessons you learn in Pop Warner can help you in the future.
If you're given an opportunity, you have to be able to capitalize on it.
Everybody is looking for that minor league of high school football and cheerleading, and I think Pop Warner is the perfect program for that.
I was feeling some pressure, and the next thing I knew, I heard what sounded like a shotgun going off-Pow! and felt this excruciating pain. Then I was on the ground.
It took me three years psychologically and mentally to adjust to being away from the game.
