Not sure who else is with me here, but I'm loving the fall of the Yankees. Yes, it's early in the season, but the Orioles are looking as they can compete. Would love if the Blue Jays could maintain themselves. They've always been a good team, never that bad and they got the pitching to stay afloat. Maybe the Devil Rays will shock us with some of those young arms. And the BoSox, defending champs. Nothing unexpectd there.

Time will tell. Go AL East! Bury the Yanks!
------------
BALTIMORE (AP) -- George Steinbrenner simply couldn't take it anymore. It didn't matter that there are still 150 games left to play, or that the hated Boston Red Sox were well within striking distance in the AL East.

The sight of seeing his New York Yankees in last place was just too much to bear, and the outspoken owner wasn't going to wait another day before voicing his displeasure over the fashion in which his team performed over the first two weeks of the season.

Minutes after watching the Yankees lose their fourth straight game, an 8-4 bashing by the Baltimore Orioles, Steinbrenner lashed out at his manager and a 25-man roster that is costing "The Boss" a whopping $200 million in salary.

oh please. 12 games into the season and we're writing off the Yankees? Give it time. They've got some new chemistry to incorporate and high expectations after losing to the Red Sox last year. Things might get worse before they get better, but don't be suprised if they're in it at the end.

Didn't they start off slow last year with the Red Sox taking a lead? The Yanks are a team full of winners. They don't know how to lose long term. They will find a way.

I'm not writing off the Yanks, but I'd love for them to not be in the playoffs this year and when someone is down, you got to jump on them. I know "The Boss" will start shaking things up if he doesn't like what he's seeing, but I always enjoy watching the Yanks suffer. It's like Christmas or Hannukah in April! Hopefully, it'll extend til April!

adversity builds character. This Yankees team, if they turn it around, will be much more focused than if they cruised from the start...

or maybe, just maybe, a new curse has been born!!!!!!!!!! It's the seventh sign!

Don't wish that upon us! I was so sick of hearing about the BoSox curse and now if we have a Yankees curse, they won't stop talking about it for years. I'm sure there's already folks out there discussing the demise of the Yankees and the curse of the BoSox.

The media gets ahold of something and beat that horse down til it's beyond dead...

adversity builds character.

Adversity doesn't build character, it reveals character.

(Q) What does every team in the American League have in common?
(A) None of them have a worse record than the Yankees. :D

All is not lost Yankee fans, the Devil Rays are coming to new York at just the right time for the Yankees to get some wins and get their confidence back.

PS: The Yanks have some issues with their pitching, it ain't nearly as strong as it looks on paper. Don't tell anybody...

The 4-8 New York Yankees against the 4-8 Tampa Bay Devil Rays is a crucial AL East cellar-dwellers battle!?! I'm getting excited.

Too bad this one is not nationally televised.

As an Orioles fan, I sincerely hope that the yankees continue to inhale vigorously. I can't stand them or their fans. They are like the uga fans except the yanks have actually had success.

That and I'm tired of the Orioles being near the bottom of the AL East.

How can you root for a team whose downward spiral into mediocrity was started by a 13-year-old kid?

I like seeing the Yankees win cause it pisses off Braves' fans here, and it is so funny to see them pissed off. I think the Yankees will get back on track, they have too good of a team and too good of a manager to suck it up all season.

In reference to the comparison between Yankees' fans and UGA fans, I think it stems from how obnoxious both teams' fans are. Yankees fans do have every reason to be obnoxious though, in my opinion.
