Saw this article on SI.com. Made me wonder if/when the next triple option team will win the FCS (or FBS) national championship. Also made reference to a few FCS coaches with success at FCS level and the transitive properties of their triple option in the FBS. Enjoy!

It takes discipline and lots of reps to run a triple option offense.

It takes LOTS of discipline and lots of reps to learn how to defend it....Assignment football, Baby!

I'm glad the article hit on the blocking rule change. The "safety" argument is BS.

The new blocking rule could be a problem. Army has had issues with it, despite being competitive so far this season. USA Today had a column on the triple option that came out today:
