Sacred Heart and Bryant lifted the lids off their conference schedules in triumphant fashion. The former won at Wagner to move to 3-0 while the latter outlasted Robert Morris on Homecoming and Reunion Weekend in Smithfield. Central Connecticut picked up its first Division I win of the season by spoiling Homecoming at Patriot League member Fordham. Saint Francis led a CAA opponent for the second week in a row before falling while Duquesne jumped out to an early advantage against a FBS member.
