THIBODAUX, La. –*Following a three hour and 19 minute lightning delay, the No. 18 Nicholls State University football team put together a solid effort in all three phases in its home opener against No. 11 Sam Houston State and the Colonels picked up a 27-7 victory Saturday night at Manning Field at John L.
