Drafttek doesn't paste well ... but Stick is projected at 18th QB and 216th overall, which if close, means 7th and final round I believe. There may be a few diamonds in the rough, but this is a weak class which opens up the draft board for QBs a lot.

For what a ISUr fan's opinion is worth ... I think Christion is clearly the more "proven" QB mainly because SDSU leans on him more than NDSU leans on Stick to win games. Stick is largely asked to manage games.

By the way, we've picked Christion about 7 times in 3 games. His QBR against us is kind of low, largely because Spack has good record defending against true dual threat QB/offenses. So while we've had way more success against Christion than Stick, I have to give the edge to Christion. On flipside, Stick has shown steady improvement each year. But no matter what NDSU fans "think" Stick could do .... he like every other NDSU QB always has two proven 1000 yard rushers in their backfield every year, and several all conference OL year after year. Not to mention a top 5 or better defense every year which keeps their offense in good field position much more than rest of FCS.

Nod to Christion, no matter what happens today. Going to be fun game to watch regardless.

Back from the game and some thoughts:


- SDSU's defense is better than last year.
- NDSU's pass rush was held in check mostly except for a few plays. Jacks OL did a good job.
- ES has the middle open all game and made some passes to it and runs up the middle.
- Refs inconsistent. Need better sound on their mics....could hardly hear the ref.
- Two pretty evenly matched teams.
- SDSU is staying #3 in my poll tomorrow.

Back from the game and some thoughts:


- SDSU's defense is better than last year.
- NDSU's pass rush was held in check mostly except for a few plays. Jacks OL did a good job.
- ES has the middle open all game and made some passes to it and runs up the middle.
- Refs inconsistent. Need better sound on their mics....could hardly hear the ref.
- Two pretty evenly matched teams.
- SDSU is staying #3 in my poll tomorrow.

They were over there head in this one.A big part of the problem was the people we have running the clock and managing that part of the game, these first 4 games have been a freaking train wreck, the couldn't get the time outs right on the board, couldn't get the clock started on time. It was kind of funny because I was listening to the post game radio show, it took me about an hour to get out of the parking lot, and the guy that called in asked about the resumes of the guys running the part of this production of the game.

Agree, way over their heads. The Dome employee (at least I am assuming they are one) was not helping things with the clock screw ups. Add in the ref mic troubles...... But the scoreboards and lights at least worked this week.

I was listening to 1660 and they were talking about him as a legit top 100 pick. That aint happening. To me his ceiling is Case Keenum and that's the best I think he could become. He has mediocre arm strength, mediocre size. He's fast, but he ain't Lamar Jackson fast and see how that's working out.

I'm hoping he gets a late round/PFA chance. He is a good college quarterback, and I'm glad we have him. However, some Bison fans are going to be a little disappointed come draft season.

Yes, that one play where he threw into a crowd of 4 defenders...Holy smokes, somebody had to have been open, or at least a 50/50 jump ball....

The Bison OL and Jacks DL was pretty much a wash IMO. Bacon #71 needs to go IMO. The younger Volson is a lot better athlete and is quicker. Klieman is loyal so Bacon might stay there but he is not the best option at RG...he got manhandled a few times.

SDSU's OL did a pretty decent job overall IMO. NDSU did get to the QB but overall the Jacks had time to throw.

I think at best he’s a career backup, goes in when needed and does his job, but never starting material. I don’t see Christion going pro at QB honestly. He’s shaky as hell with his throwing and a decent runner, but you’d better be able to throw if you want to go pro. Christion would have to move to receiver or maybe defensive back similar to Nick Marshall from Auburn a few years back, even then he’ll be at most a role player.

Unless of course one one of them goes undrafted and becomes the next Tony Romo or Kurt Warner, it’s possible but highly unlikely.

I do watch the throws they make. If Stick wants to be accurate, he has to throw rainbows that are pretty easily broken up by decent DBs. If Stick tries to really drive the ball like good passers do, he's usually pretty inaccurate. TC drives the ball with accuracy all over the field. His biggest issue is he makes a careless decision about once a game. I'm not saying Stick isn't good, I just think you're lying to yourself if you think he's just as good as TC.

I don't agree with that at all. He took hits too. Both him and Stick get a bit trigger happy under pressure (over throwing receivers etc)....which is the case for many QBs under pressure.... Stick did to SDSU what TC did to the Bison last time eluding pressure and picking up yardage.
