A lot of injuries?

I was interested to see how Sam And UCA handled losing much of their talent and especially at QB. Which team would have to start all over again and which team would simply reload. So far from the few games played that Sam is starting over and UCA may have reloaded. But I wouldn't get too excited as a bear fan. Teams like Sam and McNeese always find ways to excel in tough transitions and they are still on the Bears schedule.

It's a combination of things...
-Replacing possibly the greatest QB, WR and defensive player in school history
-Injuries along the offensive line
-Transitioning to a new, more balanced offense......because......
-Our QB play is below average
-Our new OC is struggling (to put it nicely) with how to use the great WRs and good RBs that we have

Sam lacks the ability to develop a quarterback out of high school. We need to hope for another transfer soon or we are doomed to be playing for fourth in the SLC. Unfortunately, this feels like the end of our run. After 2011 I hoped we wouldn’t ever back to where we were in the late 2000s when I first started following this team. Something must change.

Exactly. I was wrong on Schmid. He looks scared to be out there. And Dare needs to be put on the shelf until he figures something out. I don’t trust KC to develop a quarterback though. I really hope Brock works out. If this really is a retooling year then Brock needs to start next weekend, he is the future of this program at the qb position.
