Indiana State and Evansville each ventured into Missouri Valley Conference play for the first time on a wet and cool day at Arad McCutchan Field in southern Indiana. In a tight defensive struggle, it took nearly 93 minutes of action before Evansville came away with the hard fought 1-0 victory over Indiana State.
