Joe Scott leaves Princeton BB to become coach at U Denver

A real surprise. Scott was a good guy, but he was old-school (very much like his mentor, Pete Carril) which does not cut it as well these days. He departs a struggling program at Princeton, but he was not helped by the University's ending of Early Admission policies.

And goes to a struggling program in Denver. But now he can give out real schollies.

Willis Wilson of Rice University interviewed for this job. Still perplexed on why he did so considering he's been at Rice forever and seems to be pretty well protected within the program...

Perhaps he found out the writing is on the wall?
