Here’s my deal. It’s DI football. If we have our second and third string guys in, I want them running the offense. I want the coaches trying things with them to see what they’re good at. I don’t want dive after dive after dive. That gets them no real experience. If you can’t stop our second and third stringers from housing swing passes from 70+ yards that’s a you problem. Get better and be better. Being honest I’m pretty sure some of the DIII WIAC schools could smoke those guys. Hopefully this makes it hard for us to schedule crap teams like this in the future and maybe get some good H&H’s with some good HBCUs.

Yes. It's weak. Especially considering you guys hung 72 on MVSU last year. If they can't stop the bench warmers that's their problem. We had a true freshman with 3 TDs on 4 carries last week. The SWAC is bad.

Witnessed one of the most bonkers games I’ve ever seen. Northwestern St Demons got up on Lamar 28-0 in the first half. Lamar scored 28 unanswered. Demons scored to go up 35-28. Lamar tied it up. NSU scored two TDS, including an INSANE 70-yd one-handed catch by Jazz Ferguson. Demons go up 49-35. Lamar scores twice but the XP on the last TD was blocked and NSU ran out the clock on the last drive to win 49-48. Shelton Eppler set schools records with 474 yds and 6 TDs passing.

Pat Paschall getting run into the stands was basically the major cheap shot that started the so called UNI rivalry. Every player interview from every UNI game, there is respect given out from both sides. UNI just plays NDSU tough because they play the same brand of physical football.

With the little brother school down in Brookings. Ya, there have been cheap shot crap over the years but sometimes it is just part of the game. Huge discussions were on it and starting another one is useless. But having former Bison players consistently say SDSU is the biggest cheap shot team then one has to wonder it must be true.

I went back to last years box score for the game the holy Bison whooped up on Mississippi Valley State 72-7.....The holy Bison were throwing the ball in the 3rd quarter, up 51-7.....in fact, they threw a td to go up 58-7.

Also, The holy Bison were throwing in the 4th quarter as well...only their 3rd string passer couldn't complete his two passes, which I can probably safely assume were downfield, not swing passes, because who can't complete a swing pass?.... where as our 3rd stringers two (swing) passes went for like 50 and 40 yds and a td......don't let the holy Bison fans fake outrage fool you.

Hard to fault the kid if he made the correct assessment of the option. You practice it where it is supposed to be second nature. Should have just called a running play then.

Plus the pass was only 5 yards to the 4th string practice squad receiver. He couldn't help it the defenders could tackle a tackling dummy on that play.

Ok, fair point. Despite the result, they are a DI team. If they can't stop another FCS team's 3rd string players, then they need to either figure out a way to get better coaches or players, or need to go the Savannah State route and drop down to a level where they can compete with teams at their own level (which I think will end up being a much better situation for Savannah State).

I rescind my criticisms.
