Another good article on an FCS band that outplayed its FBS counterpart in the NCAA's. xthumbsupx
"It was 30 minutes before tipoff inside the Breslin Center late Sunday morning, and Delaware State was putting Vanderbilt to shame.
The 30-member Delaware State band, that is.
With their drums and their cymbals, whose two wielders danced while they smashed, and mostly their blaring brass, they filled the arena with a wonderful, welcoming clamor.
At the other end of the gym, Vanderbilt, with two-thirds the musicians, hardly made a comparative peep. They had flutes and piccolos. Too bad the guy inside the Commodore mascot suit nearby wasn't Lionel Richie."
"At several of those stoppages, the DSU band played. And when they were done, many in the crowd of 6,504 stood and applauded. The Bowling Green band members, who had sat beside them, stared awestruck." xeekx xnodx
