Whatever else you may think of him, if you haven't seen the football documentary that he narrated ("Rites of Autumn"), you are missing something.

Ken Burns couldn't have done it better. Plenty of discussion of current FCS teams (mostly Ivy) in it. Highly recommended.

Smokey and the Bandit, The Longest Yard, Boogie Nights, The End, The Cannonball Run, The Best Little Whorehouse In Texas...so many memorable movies, and even a role in The Twilight Zone early in his career in the comedic episode “The Bard”. The man had so many memorable movie roles and well as having one of the most killer moustaches of all time and being the epitome of coolness and sexiness for men in his prime. He even had a minor country music hit in 1980 with “Let’s Do Something Cheap and Superficial”. I am a fan and I am sad to hear of Burt Reynold’s passing. He is a legend to be sure.

Nobody mentions gunsmoke

You mean Quint Asper? That is where I first saw him, as the blacksmith.

Classic FSU pick. Longest Yard my favorite Reynolds film. Always like his wisecracking personality.

I love stuff like this. Is it a series?
