That schedule is just ridiculous, I thought they were going to find a Fort Lewis type of DII to play and then they up and schedule UND.

That has to be the strongest schedule in the nation.
I'd like to see one tougher.

That schedule is ridiculous. SUU should be estatic if they win one game next year. (hopefully the sept 8th game xsmiley_wix )

UND will be tougher than McNeese and Montana State.

At least UND and MSU run the same defense. So it won't be a complete waste learning it for UND.

MSU was one of the top 8 teams in FCS last year. And since UND and MSU don't play each other this year, this sounds a LOT like the blathering that was going on at the end of LAST year regarding NDSU and UM and who was better.

Same *****, different day, and moronic messenger. xwhistlex xwhistlex xwhistlex xwhistlex xwhistlex

Nice logic.
Montana St. actually won their first round playoff game, played the Griz tougher than McNeese, and gave the National Champs a pretty good game for the most part.

McNeese and MSU are BOTH good FCS teams. UND is still stuck in D-2 waiting for their wet dream of becoming FCS to come true.

MplsBison
March 20th, 2007, 10:15 AM
MSU was one of the top 8 teams in FCS last year

Yet they lost to UC Davis 45-0 at home and lost to Chadron State, DII, at home?

Nope, I'll never buy that.

Canyoncat
March 20th, 2007, 10:53 AM
No question, we played like **** against Cal Davis and Chadron. However we did turn our season around and beat some pretty good teams. Shut out Portland State in Bozeman, beat both NAU and Idaho State on the road. Gave the Griz a run and beat a very good Furman team in Bozeman and gave App. State a decent test for most of that game. Yep, not a very good team xrolleyesx

You just keep showing our ignorance every time you post on this board. Good thing you don't represent the rest of the fan base of NDSU. Hopefully we will get to play each other again next year in Fargo. All signs seem to be pointing in that direction. That last game in Bozeman was a great game! Good luck this year and in the Gateway.

Now back to the topic of SUU's schedule. Wow! It will be interesting to see how they end up. Will this schedule make them a better team by the end of the year, or just a beat up team ready to end the season and lick its wounds? Great schedule!

Nope, I'll never buy that.

Then went on to beat 3 teams ranked in the top 25, and let us not forgot beating IA Colorado.

That is why we have a professional committee to decide who gets in the playoffs, and not ignorant fans.

UND took out UNI last year xsmhx

Is the '07 SUU team better than UNI was in '06? xbawlingx

SUU has done the opposite of Liberty about how they are going to improve. There isn't a top 25 QUALITY team on that schedule xthumbsupx

IMHO, SUU is going to be 0-11. xnodx xnodx

But might as well get acquainted with up-n-coming GWFC members early.

I hope that SUU's added schollies make the difference for them - but I still would pick UND to win this early game vs UND. xoopsx

As amazing as it appeared in the first week of the season, it was obviously by the end that 2006 U of Colorado would not have been a top 25 FCS team.

we should judge a team by the end of the season not the beginning. The cats didn't have a marvelous first half of the season but down the stretch they proved that they belonged. Just like SDSU, in the beginning there were some bumps but by the end they were a very decent team.

The SUU schedule=awesome. Every single one of those teams(except UND) was ranked last year, if SUU wins 2 games they have had a successful season.

Finally I found the thread about our schedule(took me long enough), but as I said on the Great West board, we will win at least three games. UND, Davis, and Montana. If you look at the GWFC board you will see my reasoning. We are improved and ready to move up the ladder of the GWFC. Cedar City will not be a welcoming place this year!!

If it was a playoff game in Missoula, your chances would be better.

What, no Montana Tech this year?

Seriously, a win against UND (possibly) and maybe a road win somewhere (going out on a limb). Two or three maybe as a stretch. If there was a time for SUU to play the Orediggers, maybe it should have been this year.

NDSU has a hard enough schedule this year already. I am predicting 9-2, but most likely 8-3. Next year we are finally playoff-eligible and I would love to see a game with UNH. We're building and you'll eventually get your shot at us. Peace. xthumbsupx
