Even though completely ignored by the big south, news-wise, North Alabama has came out of the gate full throttle. Even though the women's sports are members of the A-Sun at the moment, they could eventually make a great addition to the big south in the future. Women's soccer was 5-0 before falling to Vanderbilt. Women's volleyball is 3 and 4 including an exhibition win over UT-Martin. They are 2-1 in their last three matches.
Of course the football team traveled out to Utah and knocked off an FCS playoff team, Southern Utah 34-30.
I know the Lions aren't officially a member of the conference YET but the big south (I'll start capitalizing when they acknowledge we are here) should treat us a little better since we will be a great asset to them. If not, who knows? In four years we may take the path other former members have taken. You should NEVER take a school for granted that can pump a little enthusiasm and prestige into this conference which appears to be fairly dead, fan-wise.
