I see that there were a few games that has significant delays and one or two that were postponed until today. How did everyone fare attendance wise this week and did weather negatively impact those numbers?

Nice weather in Cedar City, Utah yesterday. They had a decent crowd but wasn't a sellout. About 9K, I think.
Was a beautiful setting and a good football atmosphere as their stands were basically full and basically everyone stood the entire game.

As disappointed as the fans can be in a win, Western Carolina University had 12,111 in their home opener in Cullowhee, NC.

I noticed SDSU @ Iowa State, and Nebraska both cancelled their games completely. Did any other teams cancel?

I heard it announced and think they said 25,118. Great night of football. Atmosphere was playoff like for sure.

About 18,500 at the Fargo Dome, had a lighting issue that lasted about 20 to 30 minutes early in the game. Crowd was dead after that. Building was half full after the half.

Great showing though! I recall back in 2011, first game of season at W&M, I was watching on TV, there was a tstorm delay of an hour or so at half. Was pissed because we were rolling and thought that would give Tribe time to regroup. But alas we held on for a 17-14 upset.

rumor has it that an out of state contractor will be in Fargo on the morning of the Delaware game, and you can bet the lights will be out for days after they are done..... game will be cancelled

Worst case scenario, we move the game over to Moorhead, MN and play and then have 12,000 people standing and watching, it would be epic.

Our attendance was 26,226 which was a few hundred short of a sellout. We had storms roll in about 2 hours before kickoff but it cleared up about 30 minutes before the game started.

A total of 32,357 attended the Villanova/Temple game at Lincoln Financial Field (including yours truly).
This matchup drew just over 35,000 fans last year; the primary reason for the attendance drop was probably the Labor Day weekend date. (The 2017 game was played the weekend after Labor Day weekend.)

I think they even tore part of those down at one time, it is like 2/3's of the north side has stands

At least they finally moved the soccer team off of that atrocious field they were playing on near the high rises and LLC.

No, it just looks weird because they shifted the field 25 yards west for the SHAC addition.
edit: There was a tiny bit of stands that were removed on the west end of the north side, but maybe just bleachers for 100-200 people. You can see it in the image on the Dacotah Field wikipedia page.

Yup, BIG rivalry, despite the different divisions now. Turkey Day Classic from 1924-2012 (other than 1971 for some odd reason). They had to shift things around recently and didn't play for a few years, but started it back up this year with a new date and calling it the Labor Day Classic. I don't know what the plan is for the future of it though.
They're also really close to each other: https://goo.gl/maps/bsUb1yVnxp42

Apparently the banner raising overtaxed the lighting circuits. xbangx

Dukes played in front of just over 56,000 in Carter Finley against the Wolfpack. Norfolk State's stadium holds 30,000 (next week's venue). Home opener is the 15th -- expect 25,000+.

Tuskegee is a HUGE rival for us. We've been playing each other since 1924 and the schools are only 36 miles apart.

We'll now play each other the 1st Saturday in September every year. The game was brought back last year after a 4 year hiatus and was originally scheduled from 2017-2020 but it was announced at halftime that a 10 year extension was signed by both schools through 2030.

We need to raise a couple hundred million and build a stadium with a retractable roof, it was way too nice to be playing indoors on a day like that. It is almost kind of depressing walking in from a perfect day outside and then going inside to a building.

Hopefully they keep this game going yearly with it being played on Labor Day. Since the SWAC isn't participating in the NCAA playoffs ASU can still play a full conference schedule, play a money game up against a FBS opponent and still have space for the Labor Day Classic game every year...

18,507 at the WIU at MSU game Thursday night. Not a sell-out but SRO.
Seemed like the crowd was not as into the game as usual until late in the game. I guess it was ok for a first game of the season, but we need to work on it. xdrunkyx
