The defending MLS Cup champions, the Houston Dynamo are up 2-0 over Pachuca CF, a Mexican club team with a game in Mexico remaining in the CONCACAF Champions Cup. The Dynamo already defeated FC Puntarenas from Costa Rica to advance to the semifinal against Pachuca CF.

The other MLS entry, the DC United defeated CD Olimpia of Honduras in the quarterfinal. They're tied 1-1 with CD Guadalajara of Mexico (also known as Chivas) in the semifinals with the match in Guadalajara remaining.

This success by the MLS is great especially when you consider that the Mexican teams are into their season while the MLS teams are still getting physically into shape for their season (for the Dynamo, Brian Ching and Dwayne De Resario aren't even playing 90 minute games!)

They've had mixed results before, though the All-Star teams have had success against English Premier League sides.

Keep it coming, MLS! Keep building up soccer in our country and raising the profile of the MLS! :D
