It is a good day to be a Vandal. He is such an ambassador for Vandal Football. He attends most home games and is always available for a picture out in the tailgate.

Born out on the eastern Montana prairie, in the thriving metropolis of Jordan. xlolx
Back in my youth, my dad had both "Instant Replay" and "Farewell to Football". I would highly recommend them to any football fan, if you can find them. Both are excellent reads on life during football back in the 60's.

I love it when the older guys get recognized. Well deserved!!!! I was able to attend John Madden's HOF induction and a bunch of the festivities (including his after party) and it was awesome to sit around and hear the stories...the guys from the 60s and 70s were amazing. One of the best conversations was them all discussing their off season jobs....they all had to work to pay their bills..

Congrats to Jerry..........25 years too late, but he was 200x more gracious than the other inductees.....

This...and somebody correct if I may have missed it- Did Randy Moss ever thank his high school or college coach? I didn't hear it and thought it was odd. Especially his high school coach, since he repeatedly praised his hometown.

Randy is Randy.
Jerry had a small town upbringing. He was raised during a different era of God, Country, Family. He has always remembered his roots and where he came from. It has always been a blast to see him yucking it up at a Vandal tailgater with anyone willing to talk with him. I hope the university spends the opportunity to honor the old dude at a Vandal game this fall.

I bet the NFL really appreciated where he mentioned that every day 3-4 guys lost consciousness during practice hahahah

Two a day practices could be brutal under Lombardi. He would much rather find out who would quit during preseason practice than find out who would quit during a game when things got tough.
