Maybe this will help them get Ford Field 25% full for the Conference title, probably not though.
Id say Toledo or NIU has the best shot at beating a P5, maybe WMU.

Steinbrecher referred to the conference’s teams and players as “pirates,” and said he wants MAC teams to fly this pirate flag every time they do something significant, like upset a Power 5 team or get another kind of big non-conference win:

Looks like it's more than P5. I guess just about any win would count, even FCS. ;)

I can't remember the exact number- but MSU Mankato used to play the Gophers in baseball every year. The Mavs would win and the Twin Cities sports writers would go crazy making excuses. The Mav coach at the time, Dean Bowyer, asked me once, "We've beaten the Gophers six out of the last nine times. If they win this year, is that an upset?" :D

My namesake, #38 for Miami of Ohio is one of their starting linebackers.....too bad, I'll be in Mankato watching the Mavs that day and miss seeing him play in person.

Probably a bigger deal than winning a conference game. I’d say beating Misery State is bigger than beating Buffalo.
