I didn't have to read the stats to realize how lopsided the calls were in the second half. UNC was all over USC and no fouls were called. USC would look at the Tar Heels and a foul was called.

Hell, look at what Michael Jordan got away with when he played. He could rape a dude and they wouldn't call a foul on him. That was pretty much the same with UNC vs USC.

Pretty impressive win for UCLA over Kansas. The Bruins put the defensive clamps on the Jayhawks in the second half. The way UCLA played defense in the paint, I think they will win a rematch with Florida. Plus Ben Howland will have a week to prepare for Billy Donovan and the Gators. I see the Bruins playing in another national championship game.

UCLA wins its 12th national championship banner over Ohio State. I think with a week to prepare for Florida, Ben Howland will have a defense to shut down Noah and company. Whoever wins between UCLA and Florida will win the title.

Can anyone else belief that UNC choked the way it did in the last six minutes or so against Georgetown. The Hoyas were ready to be blown out, but the Tar Heals fumbled this game away. I expected UNC's freshmen to have a game like that somewhere in the tournament, but I didn't expect it on Sunday.

i agree with this and your assessment about Lawson. He did improve his jumpshot throughout the season, but he is still far away from being a threat on the perimeter. His main skill is run right by you. I truly hope he and Wright stick around. Let's just hope and pray that they stayxprayx

I have seen Lawson several times in person (he played in some of our tournament games we put on in Boone each year) and while he improved at the end of the year, he is still very rough around the edges. He has to carry a MAJOR share of the blame for Sunday's collapse. He didn't do a good job of running the offense, or distributing the ball in the final six or seven minutes of regulation. He also could have done a much better job of running some clock. If he goes out now, he could earn some quick money and might be out of the league altogether in a few short years.

Watch your Gators win back-to-back titles. I don't see Ohio State staying very close in this one. The Buckeyes are kind of lucky to be in the title game (they should have lost to Xavier and in the Sweet 16) and if Florida could dismantle UCLA like they did in the second half, I don't think they will have much of a problem with OSU.

If I repeatedly misspelled a prominent football coach's name (make that several prominent coach's names), I would not be able to write for anyone. To me, blowing the pronounciation of a name REPEATEDLY for a broadcaster is the same thing as misspelling a name is for a writer. Not only does Packer get Billy Donovan's name wrong EVERY TIME, he was calling Ben Howland "Holland" all through the semifinal game. I think I'll just start calling him Billy Pucker, Billy Porker, or Billy Parker from now on.

Another thing that got under my skin tonight was how he kept trying to act like Ohio State was about to get back into the game for the entire second half. The Gators are up by 12 with well under a minute to play and Ohio State scores. "Porker's" comment is: "Don't count Ohio State out just yet."

Give me Gus Johnson and someone like Bill Raftery anytime over the dunce-namic duo of Jim Nantz and Billy Porker. I heard Raftery and Verne Lundquist's call of George Mason's upset over UConn last night on CSTV's retrovision and it was great.

That was the most boring NCAA tournament in the 21 years I've watched it. 2 (11 seeds) win and 3 (9 seeds) thats it. All 1s and 2s in the elite 8 except Oregon a 3.

I agree it was rather boring, but not because of the the high seeds advancing but because the games just sucked. The first few rounds definitely offered some great games, but the elite eight on was rather plain and boring.

Off of that tangent, I will say I was finally impressed with Oden he straight up owned every single gator in his path, too bad his team couldnt do the samexrolleyesx

I think overall the games were relatively exciting with many close contests... the boring part to me came down to the final four where all three games werent very well played and were very boring with the better team dominating the other team

Yes not many low seeds won... but you had a record number of overtime games... you had game winning shots and game winning shots attempted... that is what the tourney is all about!:D :D :D
