Yes, Panama was a team the US team should've won without a doubt, but this was a solid tournament win for the US soccer team. Helluva final with both teams having so many chances during regulation and overtime. 120 minutes passed with no goal and the Americans took it in a penalty kick shootout, 3-2.

Kasey Keller definitely was a star today and it was just an incredible match. This win clinches a trip to the Confederations Cup and gives the US some momentum heading into some more World Cup qualifers. Your American soccer team is CONCACAF Region Champs!

You can definitely see the dividends of the MLS in the improved quality of the National Team. It's scary to think that by this time next year the World Cup will be over, and IMO this the first time in US Soccer history that we'll have a team that we'll expect to deep in the tournament.
