Surprisingly Parsons is quite old. It has been the home of the Huskies since 1933. The setup you see in that picture is for baseball, during the football season there are bleachers all along both sides. Still won't claim that its big, but more seats than you see there.

The house in the right endzone is NU's fieldhouse where the "lockerrooms" are (they're not that big, so I'm not ascribing more value than it is).
The picture is actually of the field in baseballs season, as the NU baseball team plays on the same field, as an earlier poster mentioned. Before going to complete field turf in 2002, the football field was turf and the rest of the field was grass, meaning a center fielder in baseball was playing half on turf and half on grass.
Some guy named Ruth lived in the neighborhood when he played with the Red Sox. He also lived on Hemenway Street near NU's campus for a while as well.
Fenway Park is down the street from Parsons Field - maybe 1/2 to 3/4 of a mile and during the playoffs in 1999, 2003 and 2004 NU had games in the afternoon before Red Sox night playoff games, making for an interesting football/baseball doubleheader.

We used to play VMI in the Oyster Bowl there. I think the Oyster Bowl was always either VMI, The Citadel, William and Mary, JMU or Richmond. There was a parade through town before the game each year, and there was usually a drunken melee for the flags when we played VMI.

As you may or may not know I have the "FCS Stadium Finder" on my website "Lehigh Football Nation" (scroll to the bottom of the page). I haven't updated it in some time, but I want to mention here that I'm planning on updating my blog very soon to the latest Blogger-style template which should allow me to make blog widgets. (Yes, I'm undertaking this lengthy, painful process finally. xcoolx )
If my understanding of blog widgets is correct.... you should be able to use my widget on your individual blog should you so desire. In addition, I'll be able to update the ancient code I wrote to make this happen and fix some bugs (right now some stadiums aren't coming up, for example).
I'm pretty sure Google Earth's maps have been updated for some areas (Marist and Central Connecticut State, for example, now have higher-resolution maps), so I'll also have to update those positions and zoom levels.
Anyway, just so you know, good stuff will be coming to the map on my blog soon (though I can't say exactly when it will be done). Don't say you weren't warned.

I did this last year during the football season. In addition to Richmond, ODU and Northeastern posted here, you can also get good images of the following CAA schoools:
Delaware
Towson
Villanova
Rhode Island
New Hampsire (poor image)
UMass
Hofstra
Maine (must be a new photograph, because they didn't have that one last year)
I think JMU and W&M are the only ones you really can't get.

Below a satellite shot of Cowboy Stadium. This was taken between the 2005 season after Hurricane Rita and before the 2006 season. I know this because I can see the shadow of the new scoreboard and video screen that was installed a few weeks before Rita and I can see the NW corner light standard (pole) still laying down inside the track field. The light standards were taken down, new stronger foundations poured and they were put back up for the 2006 season.

Just a reminder, if you play with the map at the bottom of my blog I have all the FCS stadiums mapped out with points. The data has been checked a few times and should be pretty accurate, although email me if there are any issues.
To see stadiums, click "Hybrid", and zoom into the map.

How's that going to be any better? There will still be a big gap between the sidelines of the field and front of the stands. Or are they doing something creative that I'm not thinking about to fill in that space?
