The Broncos' running-back-by-committee system is likely obsolete now that Denver signed former Titans and Bills back Travis Henry to a five-year contract. (Last week the Broncos traded their '06 leading rusher, Tatum Bell, to the Lions). Henry joins Terrell Davis, Clinton Portis, Reuben Droughns, Olandis Gary and Mike Anderson as 1,000-yard rushers to play for Mike Shanahan in Denver. However, in his first job with the Raiders in 1998 and part of 1999, neither of Shanahan's two highest-profile runners, Hall of Famer Marcus Allen and two-sport star Bo Jackson, gained 1,000 yards.

this part makes no sense, in 98' and 99' Shanahan was with the Broncos, do you mean 88' and 89'?(the bold part)
