the date is thursday Sept. 13 @ Samford @ 7pm, and will be televised on CSS (from what ive heard)

Samford probably won't be scheduling too many non-conference games for the future with a move to the SoCon on tap in 2008.

It IS happening. I was told the info last Saturday in Charleston from an unnamed source. Heck, I'm thrilled myself but that's just me.
