I'll take Chelsea and Lyon for certain, and probably Valencia.
I'll be watching most of Liverpool-Barcelona, and I think Barca will squeeze this one out, maybe just barely.

i watched the first 30 minutes and then had to get back to work. But Barca was getting worked, and they need two goals and I don't think they are gonna be able to pull it out. But I wish em the best.

Predictions?
Aggregate:
Roma - Lyon 2-0
Barcelona - Liverpool 1-2
Porto - Chelsea 2-1
Inter - Valencia 2-2
Who I think advance:
Roma (no way Olympique overcomes a 2 goal deficit)
Liverpool (Barca, whatever)
Chelsea (tight one)
Valencia (could go either way, just more a fan of Spanish football vs Italian)

I love soccer, but they have the stupidest tie-breaking procedures around. The fact that Barcalona needed two goals meant that Liverpool could play ugly soccer all evening and just sit back and not give up two goals. If the teams split games, why not simply have them play a third game on a neutral site? Would make someone a lot of money and we would find out who the better team was instead of getting ugly soccer like Liverpool played in the second half. Seeing a team celebrate after getting beat is anti-sports.

When would the 3rd Game be? At this stage teams are already in a period of game congestion with the Champions League, plus their Domestic League and National Cups (although Liverpool doesn't have to worry about those anymore :D ). Plus, the next round is set to get underway in 2 weeks, which really only gives one or two days the game could possibly be played, to say nothing of the security concerns of finding a neutral site. It's probably not the ideal setup, but it's not as if Liverpool played for nothing today. If they try to play it ugly, and Barca grabs the 2 goals, suddenly they need to turn it back on to tie it up again. If anything, they should just play extra time instead of the away goals tiebreaker.

They manage to play an uneven series of games in other sports. Either play one game at a neutral site, or play three.

If it helps, try to think of it as one big game, split up into two parts. If a team in football has a lead in the second half, they tend to play conservatively, and many times, not to lose. Its no different in the second leg of a tie: if the teams are tied after the first, they'll both be doing their best to score in the second; but if one team has a decisive lead, they obviously won't feel the need to score a bunch of goals.
Convinced? :D

Not convinced at all. Anytime that someone plays an athletic contest, attempting to get a draw, it makes for bad sports. Deciding a game on the fact that a team scored more goals on the opponent's field is a stupid way to hold a tournament. I have watched, loved and covered soccer for years, but the way they decide the Champions Cup is just plain DUMB.

The away goal rule sucks but you are not going to get a 3rd game so the only other alternative is a penalty shoot-out which is worse.
