SHSU has done Texas and A&M in the past...
So...
1) Rice. Haven't done them since 1993. Would love to have it again. I'm a Rice fan, second only to SHSU..
2/3) Navy or Army. How could you disagree? Two tradition rich schools.
4) LSU. Not too far a drive from NOLA. Kats could use to recruit in Louisiana some more.
5) USC. Talk about exposure in a major market!

Just dreamin' here, since it seems nigh impossible for us to get a BCS game anymore. Been trying for years with Army and Navy.
1. Penn State--Haven't played since 1942, a 6-19 loss, but we'd give them a chance to redeem their record loss to us in 1889, 106-0.:D
2. Rutgers--This was a great rivalry up until 1977 when the Scarlet Knights dropped us from future schedules when they went 'big time'. Of course, it's taken them 30 years to get there. Only an hour away.
3. Navy--Best 'road' trip possible. Last time in 1984, a 24-9 win, Alumni Assoc. sponsored a 'sail' from Baltimore to Annapolis for the game and then sailed back with dinner and dancing on the boat. Great time.
4. Army--Similar type of great trip. Love to hear the Army fight song at Michie Stadium as well as a nice sail up the Hudson. Plus, we'd win this one.
5. Duke--I insert the Blue Devils because maybe this is possible. Duke's AD is former Lehigh QB Joe Alleva. Very similar schools, even in architecture.

The Bucks pay major bucks for a home game!
2. University of Illinois "Whining Illini"
They are so pathetic, it would a nice tuneup for the Gateway season and a good win against a BCS school.
3. Northern Illinois
This has a good potential as a rival game. North vs. South, you know.
4. Missouri
I hate Mizzou. It would be fun beating them.
5. Kentucky.

After that, in no particular order: BYU (non-BCS, easy trip), Air Force (non-BCS), Washington, Stanford (Aggies softened em' up), and the rest of the Pacific-10 (outside of those tightwads in Corvallis ISU will be playing this year).
FBS teams I have little interest in seeing: Idaho, Boise State, Utah State, Utah, SEC (although we've been competitive with MSU and UK), Big 12 (except for ISU, we've got a score to settle).

At this stage of my career, I would like to fill in some gaps by covering games in college football meccas that I haven't been to for games
1. Tennessee (been to Neyland Stadium, but not on a football Saturday).
2. Ohio State (with Michigan down in September, why not the Buckeyes next).
3. Notre Dame (to see how Touchdown Jesus compares to Touchdown Yosef).
4. Alabama (in particular, a game at Legion Field).
5. Penn State (another great college venue)
6. Texas (I would love to see a matchup with Mack Brown and his first school, Appalachian State)
7. North Carolina (about time the Tar Heals quit ducking the Mountaineers).
8. Oklahoma (most of my family is from Oklahoma and we've always rooted for the Sooners. Would be great to see a game in Norman).
9. Nebraska (always heard what a great atmosphere it is).
10. Fresno State (would love to see a game between my alma mater and the team I've covered for the past 15 seasons).
Some FCS places I haven't made it to yet, but need to hit are Delaware, Youngstown State, Northern Iowa, Southern and North Dakota State.
I'll get games at James Madison, Georgia, Florida and Virginia Tech in the near future.

5. Florida. I wanna (if i could travel that far) feel the intensity of seeing 90,000 people doing the CHOMP.
For the Florida trip, try to buy a student tix for about $25 since you need an student ID, then pay the additional $25 differential to convert to general audience as long as you are there early, (not many know this), or buy the student id, since it gets crazy at the gate they don't pay too much attention to the photos as long as you have an id with you (the biggest crowds at the student gate section are 30 min before the game starts). I had a male friend use my wife's id once and you get to seat (actually you'll never seat) with "the Swamp Things" in the student section and then do the "CHOMP" and as long as you are wearing Florida colors, with your new 90,000 gator best friends.
Be aware that in my second year there I sold my wifes and my Tennessee's tix for $185 plus our student id's for aditional $50 each (i paid $80 for the season pass and $10 for the ID replacement), then i traded my Georgia rights (we had to pay $50 for it) for another pair of the Tennesee tix, so I saw the game and made a handsome profit to pay for my college expenses!!! xbeerchugx .
I heard people selling their FSU and Tennesse game tix as high as $250 each, so be ready to shell the big bucks if you are comming to G-town depending on who is playing, but is all worth it.

I think this is a great list and aside from Penn St. they would all be great games. The most interesting, in the sense that it is one that never gets mentioned, is the Duke game. With a Lehigh guy in the AD spot, it would seem a great way to do both hoops and football. I seem to recall that Lehigh played Duke a few years ago in bball, but a game in Durham would be good and I think a decent shot at a win.

For UR, we actually have the games scheduled that in general I would want except for a few:
1) UVA ('08, '10) (Almost beat them a few years ago, losing 17-16 in 2001)
2) WFU (This is one we really should be playing. Have an annual bball game already)
3) Vandy ('07 '12) (Similar schools and we have been competitive with them sometimes)
4) Duke ('09, '11) (Similar schools, and we just beat them in '06)
5) VaTech (Have not played them since the 80's, when we had an annual tussle, and even beat them a few times)

My top 5 for Portland State...
1. U of Washington...The only FBS school in the northwest that not only won't play us, but will not play any FCS team. What are they scared of?
2. Stanford...Just sounds like fun.
3. Brigham Young...Historical.
4. UNLV...Any excuse to go to Vegas is a good one for me.
5. Penn State...Battle for the exclusive use of the PSU moniker.
Actually pretty difficult to think of, as we have taken $$$ from quite a few FBS teams...
Pac-10...Oregon, Oregon State, Cal
Mtn West...New Mexico, San Diego State
WAC...Hawaii, Fresno, Boise, San Jose State

My top 5 for Portland State...
1. U of Washington...The only FBS school in the northwest that not only won't play us, but will not play any FCS team. What are they scared of?
2. Stanford...Just sounds like fun.
3. Brigham Young...Historical.
4. UNLV...Any excuse to go to Vegas is a good one for me.
5. Penn State...Battle for the exclusive use of the PSU moniker.
Actually pretty difficult to think of, as we have taken $$$ from quite a few FBS teams...
Pac-10...Oregon, Oregon State, Cal
Mtn West...New Mexico, San Diego State
WAC...Hawaii, Fresno, Boise, San Jose State
Just stay away from Joey Porter.

Do you think in their little minds it is an academic thing or a historical thing or what??? I mean UR came as close as possible to beating them in 2001 and they are still scheduling the Spiders, so it can't be just a performance thing.
