Today marks the return of my local arena team:

After taking a year off in 2006 due to Hurricane Katrina, the team sold more season tickets (12,000) this year than they did in the previous 2 years of the team's existence COMBINED (5,000 in 2004 and 6,000 in 2005). Needless to say, the folks in the New Orleans area are psyched about the team's return.

Anyone else out there excited about the start of Arena Football?

I hope the damned Rattlers round back into form. Watching last year's abortion sucked big time....We got so used to them being a perennial contender, Phoenix didn't know what to do with a mediocre Arena team.

Dang I stopped watching their game last night when it was 41-31 Georgia and it looks from the final score that it turned out to be a hell of a game, 69-65

We have an AF2 team here in Louisville that annually leads AF2 in attendance. The local owner of the franchise has a goal of upgrading to a realy AFL team sometime down the road as I understand it.

^Spokane got an AF2 team last year that lead the league in attendance and won the title in their first year! They've already sold over 7,000 season tickets this year and averaged over 10,000 per game last year.
