At the annual Gardner-Webb University Awards Day, head coach Mike Simpson's swimming program had five individuals presented awards for their outstanding academic achievements.*"Gardner-Webb Swimming has had the highest standards academically from the beginning of the program 19 years ago," said Simpson. "We are extremely proud of these five student-athletes who have upheld that standard. Being recognized by the faculty for achievement in the classroom is a huge honor. Congrats to Austin, Anna, Bethany, Tessa and Hope."
